Ruth Doan MacDougall

Authorship

Shorter than a Novel,
Longer Than a Postcard

Ruth Doan MacDougall is a prolific writer! Here, in this anthology, you'll find examples of her work other than her novels; on the  About the Author page you'll find a complete listing of her novels..

The travelogue The Doan Sisters To to England is an expansion of a a journal that she maintained during a trip to England in 1990.  Other travelogues include Girl Scout Trip and Our Canterbury Tale.

The Diary Man serves as an introduction to Ruth's contributions to an entirely different genre—continuing the series begun by her father of providing well-researched guidebooks for hikers. Ruth hiked those trails herself, noting trail changes since the last publication and updating the texts accordingly.

Ruth's Neighborhood,  Ruth's blog about life in her neighborhood and the surrounding area has been a part of this website since its inception in 1999. In March, 2018, Ruth moved her blog to Facebook where she could easily interact with her readers;  those entries are archived here on the website so all can be accessed at anytime.
